Pacelli Playground Project
St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School is excited to unveil the design for its new Kay Circle playground! The equipment for this playground has been customized and ordered. It is expected to arrive and be installed in mid-February 2023 (read latest project update here).
We are so grateful to our Pacelli Playground supporters who helped us raise $105,278.31 for a new playground on Kay Circle and for enhancements to our playground on Trinity Drive. We surpassed the $100,000 phase one goal set by our committee to cover as many renovations as possible. The Diocese of Savannah approved us moving forward with the project since we raised over 75% of the funds needed. It is important that we continue to foster an active childhood by making play exciting and fun for our students. Our Lower School playground on Kay Circle is old. It is past the end of its lifecycle. Most commercial playgrounds last 15-20 years; ours is 22 years old. The playground on Trinity Drive is in need of a giant sun shade to protect children from the heat while they're playing on equipment, as well as some new equipment for our youngest Vikings. To fully complete the project, due to rising costs and inflation, we are in need of an additional $20,000.
