School Project Focused on Environment Lands Pacelli 6th Graders in front of CEO
Five Pacelli 6th graders spent a January afternoon pitching an idea to reduce plastic waste to the leaders of Callaway Blue.
Landon Conner, Noor McClellan, Stephen Mcginn, Harper Singleton, and Liam Watson presented their ideas to Callaway Blue Spring Water CEO Edward Callaway and CFO Frank Bonner. Their goal is to reduce the amount of plastics that are dumped in our oceans as well as offer a plant-based alternative to plastic water bottles.
Pacelli's Lower School Gifted Teacher Mr. Scott Chandler served as the students' mentor for this project, which is part of an ongoing FIRST LEGO League Competition.
The middle schoolers were treated to lunch and got a behind the scenes look at how Callaway Blue Spring Water is bottled.
