Lady Vikings Dance Team

Meet the Coach
Emily Miller
Emily Miller joined the St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School family in 2016 and teaches 3rd grade here. She began dancing at the age of 3 and was a dance instructor and performed until her move to Georgia in 2016. She has over 30 years of dance instruction experience.
Emily began her dance career at Bettie Berger Studios in Cincinnati as a student and the Annielisse Von Ottengen School of ballet. In high school, she worked as a dance instructor assistant and later started her own after-school dance instruction program for Oak Hills Local School District in Cincinnati while in college. She was a member of her high school dance team, the Seton Highlighters at Elizabeth Ann Seton High School. She later worked as a ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and musical theater instructor in studios in both California and Tennessee, helping to choreograph full length ballets (including The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, The Secret Garden, The Lion King, and The Wizard of Oz). She also choreographed competition-level tap and jazz routines. Emily, again, founded and directed an after-school dance program at Holy Rosary School in Memphis, Tennessee.
Female students in grades 6-12 are eligible to participate in the Lady Vikings Dance Team. "I am excited about the opportunity to lead the Lady Vikings Dance Team at St. Anne-Pacelli! I plan to build dance skills from the basic core elements of ballet and jazz, and add the hip-hop twist," Emily says. "I would love to incorporate pom routines and traditional dance team kick elements."
