Catholic Schools Week

January 26-31, 2020
National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. Here's a look at how St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School plans to celebrate our community of faith, knowledge and service with daily themes developed for Catholic Schools Week:

Sunday, January 26
Show your school spirit! St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School students who wear their school uniforms to their places of worship the weekend of January 25/26 will be rewarded with an out-of-uniform day on Tuesday, January 28.  There will be sign-in sheets at St. Anne Church Masses; those who don't attend St. Anne Church are asked to bring a bulletin from their place of worship to their 1st period/homeroom teachers.

Monday, January 27
  • Students in PK4-12 grade will attend Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anne Church to kick off Catholic Schools Week.
  • New and gently-used shoes collected for St. Anne Community Outreach as part of our campaign to Stomp Out Poverty will be presented at this time.
Tuesday, January 28
  • Lower School students will be focusing on Bible verses on this day. PK4-2nd grade students will do a Bible verse activity, while 3rd-12th grade students will play a Bible scavenger hunt.
  • High school students will play Catholic Schools Week Kahoot! during lunch.
Wednesday, January 29
  • PK4-12th graders may wear red, white, and blue on this day. Lower School students in PK4-8th grades may also opt to dress in clothing that represents their heritage.
  • Students in grades PK4-12 will attend an International Rosary at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anne Church.
  • High school students will enjoy games of grade-level Dodgeball after the Rosary.
Thursday, January 30
  • Students will enjoy a few rounds of Catholic Schools Week Bingo!

Friday, January 31
  • Students may come to school dressed as their favorite teacher or staff member.
