Lower School Extracurricular Activities
In addition to athletics, students in Kindergarten-8th grades may participate in a variety of extracurricular activities or clubs, including:
Cub Scouts (Kindergarten-5th Grade)
Cub Scouting is a year-round family program. Scouts and their families have fun and enjoy adventures in an organized program that builds character and instills values. Cub Scouting embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. Cub Scouts is an organization open to boys and girls in grades Kindergarten-5th. Note: A volunteer adult leader who is Virtus trained and has completed the Boy Scouts of America's Youth Protection Training leads all of the activities.
Girl Scouts (Kindergarten-12th Grade)
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. St. Anne-Pacelli Girl Scouts (open to female students in Kindergarten-8th grades) meets on campus weekly.
Student Council (3rd-8th Grade)
Members are elected in grades 3 through 8 to represent the entire Lower School. The purpose of Student Council is to promote the general welfare of the school by coordinating school activities and acting as liaison between staff and students. Meetings are held monthly.
Altar Servers (4th Grade and Up)
Any Catholic Lower School student in grades 4 through 8 may participate in the altar servers' (acolyte) program after the required training is completed. Students are scheduled to serve at school liturgies as well as parish liturgies.
Music Club (Grades 4 and 5)
Music Club explores a variety of music concepts through application. Students have the opportunity to work with voice and a variety of instruments. This club is available to all 4th and 5th grade students and meets weekly after school.
Reading Bowl Teams (4th-8th Grades)
Does your student love to read? He/she should check out our Grades 4 & 5 and Middle School Reading Bowl Teams! St. Anne-Pacelli 4th-8th graders are invited to participate in Reading Bowl Teams. At the Bowl, students strive to "buzz" in and correctly answer questions about the current year's Georgia Book Award nominees faster than the opposing teams.
Art of Debating Club (6th-8th Grade)
St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School students in grades 6, 7 and 8 are invited to participate in the Art of Debating Club. The purpose of this after-school club is to instruct students in researching, structuring, and presenting arguments, in a debate style forum, on various topics relevant to real world issues.
Student Ambassadors (6th-8th Grade)
Student Ambassadors at St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School are a select group of students in grades 6–11 who serve as positive representatives of the Viking community. Chosen for their leadership, involvement, and school spirit, ambassadors assist with tours, shadow visits, recruiting events, and outreach to prospective families, while also representing the school at community and church events. The program supports student recruitment while fostering personal growth, leadership development, and a deeper commitment to St. Anne-Pacelli.
Friends of Mary Rosary Prayer Club (6th-8th Grade)
The purpose is to gather together weekly to pray the rosary for our personal intentions and those of the Viking community.
National Junior Honor Society (7th and 8th Grade)
Membership is comprised of students in grades 7 and 8. St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School's chapter promotes academic excellence, leadership, and good citizenship by having its members actively involved in many school, church, and community service projects throughout the year. NJHS members meet once a month after school. New members are inducted each year in February.
Velocity (7th and 8th Grade)
Velocity empowers students to impact their culture through positive peer pressure. This program is open to St. Anne-Pacelli 7th and 8th graders.
